Structural composition:
• Drum:
It is the core component of the sludge dryer single drum dryer. It is generally made of metal and has a certain thickness to ensure the stability and sealing of the structure. The drum has a certain inclination angle with the horizontal direction, usually about 3-5 degrees, which is convenient for the sludge to move from the higher end to the lower end in the drum by gravity.
• Lifting plate:
It is installed on the inner wall of the drum, and its shape and angle are specially designed. Its function is to continuously pick up and throw down the sludge when the drum rotates, so that the sludge forms a uniform material curtain in the drum, increase the contact area between the sludge and the hot air flow, and improve the drying efficiency.
• Transmission device:
It is composed of motors, reducers, couplings, gears or belts, etc., which provide power for the rotation of the drum so that the drum can rotate at a suitable speed. The transmission device needs to have sufficient power and stability to ensure the normal operation of the equipment.
• Feeding device:
It is located at the higher end of the drum and is used to transport the sludge to be dried into the drum. Common feeding methods include spiral feeding, belt feeding, etc., to ensure that the sludge can enter the dryer evenly and stably.
• Discharge device:
at the lower end of the cylinder, used to discharge the dried sludge. The discharge device needs to ensure smooth discharge and avoid sludge accumulation at the discharge port.
• Heat source device:
provides heat for the drying process. Common heat sources include natural gas, coal, biomass particles, etc. The hot air flow generated by the heat source enters the cylinder through the pipeline, exchanges heat with the sludge, and evaporates the water in the sludge and takes it away.
• Support device:
includes components such as supporting wheels and rollers, which are used to support the cylinder and enable it to rotate smoothly. There are usually multiple supporting wheels, evenly distributed under the cylinder, bearing the weight of the cylinder and the force generated during rotation.
• Working principle:
wet sludge enters the cylinder of the single-cylinder dryer through the feeding device. As the cylinder rotates, the lifting plate continuously picks up and throws the sludge, so that the sludge is fully dispersed in the cylinder to form a uniform material curtain. At the same time, the hot air flow generated by the heat source device enters the cylinder and fully exchanges heat with the sludge. The hot air flow evaporates the moisture in the sludge and takes it away, and the wet air is discharged from the dryer through the exhaust device. After a period of drying, the dried sludge is discharged from the cylinder through the discharging device, completing the entire drying process.
