Structural composition:
• Tower body:
usually made of solid materials, such as PP, carbon steel, stainless steel, etc., with certain corrosion resistance and strength to withstand internal pressure and external environmental influences. The tower body is generally circular and connected in sections with flanges for easy installation and maintenance.
• Spray system:
composed of spray pipes and nozzles. The density of spray pipes and nozzles is different according to the diameter of the spray tower. Its function is to spray water or other washing liquid evenly in the tower to form water mist, which is fully in contact with the dust-containing gas.
• Packing layer:
located above the demisting layer and the spraying layer, where the packing is placed. The main packings are multi-faceted hollow balls, Raschig rings, etc. The function of the packing is to increase the gas-liquid contact area, improve the mass transfer efficiency, and make the dust and the washing liquid contact and react better.
• Demisting device:
generally located at the upper part of the tower body, used to remove the droplets entrained by the gas to prevent the droplets from being discharged with the purified gas and affecting the emission effect. Common demisting devices include grid plates, plate demisters, etc.
• Circulating water tank:
used to store and recycle washing liquid. The washing liquid is pumped at the bottom of the tower and then transported to the spray system at the top of the tower, and then flows back to the circulating water tank at the bottom of the tower. After the dosing treatment, it can continue to be recycled.
• Fan:
Provides air flow power so that the dust-containing gas can enter the spray tower and flow in the tower, and is discharged after treatment.
• Working principle:
Under the action of the fan, the dust-containing gas enters the bottom of the spray tower from the air inlet. The spray system in the middle of the tower body sprays liquid to form water mist. The dust-containing gas contacts the water mist in reverse, and the dust and the washing liquid are fully mixed and physically or chemically reacted. Most of the dust is captured by the washing liquid and flows into the circulating water tank with the washing liquid. The washed gas flows upward, removes the entrained droplets through the demisting device, and is finally discharged from the air outlet.
Advantages and characteristics:
• High dust removal efficiency:
It can effectively remove fine particles and soluble pollutants, and has a good effect on treating dust above 0.1 microns, with high purification efficiency.
• Strong applicability:
Suitable for handling various types of dust, including high temperature, high humidity, flammable, explosive dust-containing gas, and water-soluble dust-containing gas.
• Low equipment investment:
Compared with some dry dust removal equipment such as pulse bag dust collector, the cost of the spray tower is relatively low, the equipment investment is small, and it is suitable for small and medium-sized enterprises.
• Low operating cost:
The water and power consumption indicators are low, and the maintenance is simple, and the operating cost is relatively low.
• Small footprint:
Compact structure, small footprint, easy installation, can be flexibly arranged according to the actual site conditions.
• With other functions:
While removing dust, it can also cool the gas, increase humidity and purify toxic and harmful gases, such as removing some acidic or alkaline gases.
• Long service life:
Made of corrosion-resistant materials, the equipment is corrosion-resistant, wear-resistant, and has a long service life.
